Colour is my primary instrument of expression. Through the use of colour and mark making, I orchestrate a rhythmic quality in my paintings. My preferred mediums are watercolour and acrylic, as their fast drying properties encourage me to experiment with layering. My work reflects the contrast of exploring the freedom and solace found in the embrace of being alone, and the exhilarating rush of being amidst a bustling crowd. I explore the dynamic movement of crowds through fragmented brush strokes, in all directions. In comparison to using smooth liquified marks to convey the serenity of solitude.
